don't worry, folks...it's only for an hour.

my son-in-law has his first public talk today, and i was invited to attend the event.

it seemed to be very important to him and to my daughter that i be there, so i agreed.

Ah caint see why goin' to one lil ole meetin'is gonna do youall any hahm. Course, it wont do you no good neither, ceptin to remind yuh of all the reasons why you stopped goin'.
Wait'll you get a whiff of the atmosphere in there, itll feel different now. all that Boredom. And that feeling of being drained like sumpthin is suckin the energy right outta yuh.

Negative Reinforcement of World View

hello everyone,.

i have had alot of surprises this past year since leaving the organization.it was scary at first.. one thing in particular i have realized recently is how much i subconsciencely reinforced the wts negative view of the world when i was a witness.. for example,i used to watch more negative tv programs which convinced me that the jws were right.shows such as 911,cops,true crime stories,new detectives,unsolved mysterys,cnn.....on and on.. i still like these shows and see nothing wrong with them.i can just see that i never watched anything positive when i was a jw.. or when i heard some tragedy i dwelt on it but ignored positive things.. just before i quit going to meetings i started looking at the world with new eyes.. it was very strange and confusing at first to see things more clearly.. we were taught that the word is wicked and there are just a few good people.. i have found the complete opposite to be true.. the good in this world far out ways the bad.. does anyone understand what i am saying?.

Ive decided now that all goodness dwells on a personal level.One on one. People are good. Once you become involved in structured anything
the human element disappears.

Sorry dudes. Im just jaded. Ive uncovered so many of their lies
that this UN thing scarce affects me. Doubtless it is affecting many others though.I dont care what the Jehovahs say anymore myself. Too bloody boring. Its just people who are hurting that interest me.

I really dont understand why this UN thing is such a big deal.
After all the UN is an absolute major player on the world scene its inevitable that the Jehovahs are going to have to be registered with them somewhere. Affiliated some way.Can we assume the Jehovahs are not registered with the British government? Course not. That would be ridiculous. You can bet the Jehovahs use Catholic Church resources as well .
The only crime I can see is that the Jehovahs have concealed their connection.Is the crime bigger than I see it?

back when mikey was still black and still part of the jackson 5 he and his family were all jw's in good standing right?

did michael and his dad get disciplined for mikey singing "santa claus is comin to town" that i just heard on the radio?.

Speaking of Mikey I read in a magazine that he used to sleep in a
oxygen tent pumping in a specific percentage of oxygen, higher than usual, and had a pink light on while he slept.
Very strange, then ages later while reading a Christian magazine I saw
this theory that the earth before the flood would of had a pink sky
and higher oxygen level.
Mikey was trying to live 930 years.

Anyone done an 'end of the world' psych study?

has anyone looked into what psychological factors or psychosocial structures, apart from if your parents were jw, persuade people to believe that the world is going to end soon?

there are groups of people apart from jws who also succumbe to this perplexing phenomena, and i wonder what triggers it, and/or if there are any official studies on it.

i reckon it'd make a good thesis.. maybe it's mainly a city thing?.
